Taken on 2-20-2010, this is the foundation of our root cellar. Progress! This is the only true 'basement' area. I'm not really big on basements because they are cold and often have water-management issues after settlement of surrounding grade. So, Craig and I compromised with having a root cellar, and then a walk-up attic for any necessary storage.
